Personal History
My name is Tate Guerrettaz. I am 26 years old and I live in Martinsville, IN. I race a 2019 KTM 300 xc. I’m a union construction worker and a self employed tattoo artist pursuing a passion. I work in a shop called Trapdoor Tattoos, and I still have hopes of winning an A championship if not better.
Due to separating my shoulder in early 2021 I was put out pretty for the season. We were a bit cautious to give it time and heal up. We didn’t want to risk re-injury from not feeling 100%. Then within the beginning of 2022 we introduced a new member to our family with the birth of my daughter. I decided to take the next couple seasons to regroup and focus on being a dad. It’s been an amazing experience that has plenty more to come. We plan on our son to start racing this season!
Within this last year I have began a new training program focused around Olympic style lifting focusing on my muscle build, muscle stamina, and sustaining weight. I’m in the gym 2-4 times a week. Along with that I’ve been riding a couple times a week getting more consistent seat time. I’ve also been riding with more people that we plan to race with this season making practice feel more competitive.
This summer I plan to race the NEPG series nationally, and locally MWXC and the Stoney Lonesome Championship. My goals locally are to finish top 3 in points and to break the top 5 overall multiple times. My goal nationally is to stay finishing consistently and hopefully stay within the top 10 for points.
I think that I would be a good representative for any team because I am a consistent finisher. I am a hard worker and give my all in my work, competition, and training. I am also very well-respected by other racers I compete and ride with. We’re coming at this coming 2025 season full throttle and hope to have your support doing so. Thank you for taking the time to look at and read this!
