Personal History

I was introduced to the motocross life by my older brother when he began racing with the New England Sports Committee (NESC). I was instantly hooked and couldn't wait to get on a bike. I began racing locally in Maine with the Maine Motocross Series. Over the next 5 years I competed in the Woman's and 125 YouthC classes. I earned numerous top 5 finishes and was in the Championship hunt each year in the Woman's class.

Unfortunately, due to a basketball injury that caused me to have surgery on my ACL and Meniscus, I was sidelined from racing at the age of 17. I finished out my high school career playing softball, basketball and soccer. I began college at the University of Vermont, studying Radiation Therapy and was a member of the Division 1 Softball Team. Due to my strict academic and athletic constraints, I was only able to a spectator at the races, which absolutely killed me. When I graduated college in 2012 I bought myself a CRF250R and began riding locally in Vermont. I soon moved back to Maine and competed in a few local Maine Motocross Series races. Unfortunately I blew my bike up and had a tight work schedule, so I again had to become a spectator.

With that 1 year stint of riding again, it has been almost 8 years since I have been able to fully commit myself to racing and riding every week. I began a new job at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston as a Radiation Therapist. The work schedule, pay and proximity to local tracks has finally allowed me to purchase a new bike and began my racing career again! I bought my 2013 KTM 125SX late this spring and have taken every chance I've had to put some laps on it! In the last 4 months I have competed in races throughout Maine, New Hamshire, Massachusetts and New York.

Riding Goals

2015 has been a great year for me both physically and mentally. I have been able to feel comfortable back on a two stroke, as well as on the track. I have been putting in a lot of time working on my holeshots, corner speed and throttle control. My results in both the Women's Class and 250C classes are improving, along with my lap times!

2016 is going to be a big year for me! I plan to train hard throughout this winter and come out swinging in the spring at the NorthEast Area Qualifier for Loretta Lynn's! My ultimate goal is to punch a ticket to the ranch in the Women's class and 250C class! I also plan to race throughout New England, competing at all the major races, along with some local MMS, NESC and JDay races.

Competitive Highlights

Placing 1st at multiple Maine Motocross Series (MMS) and New England Sports Committee (NESC) races!

Placing in the top half of the results at both the Unadilla Amatuer National and Northeast Vurb Classic!

Beating a fellow Women's racer, who's lap time was 20 seconds faster than me at the beginning of the season!
