Personal History
I grew up trail riding from the age of 5 throughout Oregon. I started riding competitively in 2021 in the Open 'B' class. I now compete in the Open 'A' class in offroad series events. I fell into the sport from my dad who still rides at the age of 60 and has recently started competing as well. Our riding background consists of technical single track in the coastal hills of Oregon, and the open desert terrain of Central Oregon. I take pride in the mechanical and aesthetic perfection of the bikes I own. I grew up on the Honda machines, and just recently switched to a KX 450 and Beta 2-stroke. I like to compete in most of Oregon's offroad series, including OMRA series, NORCS series, and AMA West Hare Scrambles. I also travel to a few big events out of state including Idaho, Washington, and Nevada. I have a full-time job, and spend every possible weekend at an offroad series event or a trail ride with buddies.
Riding Goals
My main goal this year is to achieve 'Top 5' in the Open 'A' class in the AMA West Hare Scramble series. Finish top 10 in the NORCS series, and top 5 in the OMRA series. Last year I took 10th in the AMA West Hare Scramble 'Open A' class. Personally, I also want to get in better shape to be more competitive. I believe that my fitness level has hindered my ability to outlast others in past events. There is a common pattern of leading races up into the final stretches where I run out of energy. I do not train, exercise, or ride more than the average weekend warrior. My goal is to focus more on competing by exercising, training, and spend more time on the seat. I'm determined to lose weight and get in better riding shape because I believe I have the skill to do even better in my class. My long term goal is to ride and compete into my late years and pass on my passion to my kids.
