Personal History
Hello my name Is Taj Stephens, the first time I rode a dirt bike I was 4 years old. It was a honda xr50, I remember literally riding it until it ran out of gas, after that day I knew I needed one. So I worked and saved up money until I was 8 and bought myself a 2000 xr100r. I rode that and took it to some real trails. By the time I was 11 I wanted to go faster. So I sold the xr and worked a little and bought myself a 2004 kx100. With my own money I built it up for enduro. With that bike I raced a little and started to ride some real hard enduro. I rode that until I was 13. Then I sold it, worked for about a month, and bought myself a 2007 ktm 200xc, And now i’ve been riding that bike for a little over a year.
Riding Goals
My goal for riding is to ride as much as possible to get as good as possible. When I turn 16 I plan on riding everyday after school, and driving myself around the country traveling to races.Ny big goal is to eventually race pro in the enduro series, and ride until my body won’t function. When I retire from racing I am thinking about being a factory mechanic or maybe a trainer.
Competitive Highlights
Some of my racing highlights are getting 4th in the jackhammer enduro on my 200 at 13 years old, since i’m young on a full size bike i’m racing against adults. Another highlight is pacing my dad to second place in the jackhammer family enduro.
