Personal History
I began riding at 38 years old when I got tired of watching my son ride around on his little CRF 50. We began to ride at MX parks in Central to Southern Ohio and began racing. I raced for the first time in 2012 in five events and then decided to race a whole series and compete for points at Fast Traxx in Nelsonville, Ohio. With a mixture of GP, MX, and SX races along with several County Fair races I finished 2nd in my class completing 17 different events this year. I have a son that races the 65 CC 7-11, we traveled and raced this Summer and plan to do more Series in 2014 in Ohio. I am a Father of two children. My daughter is 15 and attends Canal Winchester High School, my son is 10 and in 5th Grade. I have been married for 16 years to my wife Kimberly. I work in the Restaurant business and am an Area Supervisor in the Columbus, Ohio area working for IHOP or Womack Restaurants the last eight years.
Riding Goals
I'd like to qualify for Loretta Lynn by the time I am 45 years old. Win the 40+ class in more than one series this upcoming year in 2014. I plan on continuing to advance my skills with the help of a Local Pro Levi Killbarger. Levi has helped my son and I on starts, cornering, and I hope to continue to improve and get all top fives in any event I enter this upcoming season.
Competitive Highlights
I've finished first in SX events locally, finished as high as 3rd in GP events although I'm not a woods rider. This year I won the SX series in my class.
