Personal History

I have always enjoyed riding dirt bikes in my youth but stopped when I was 18 and couldn't continue as I was working full-time and saving to pay rent, school and a new automobile. Then life brought me to my wife and we started to build a family.  I now have 2 kids who are riding for recreation life became stable and I was able to get back into riding in 2013 where I purchased a 1997 Honda CR 250.  I rode trails, open fields and sand pits for about 2 years  improving my riding skills.  Once I became fluent on the bike again, I decided to upgrade to a newer bike.  I purchased a 2007 KTM 250 SX, what an amazing bike compared to my CR250, it was quicker lighter.  The person I bought it from introduced me to a local track, this type of riding I had never done before. I was hooked with riding track for the speed, airtime and technical aspects of the track.  I have been competing since 2015 starting in the MX2 Novice class on a 250 which has progressed my today where I am riding MX2 Intermediate class on 450.

Riding Goals

Since I enjoy Motocross, I didn't want to look back on life and regret not being able to compete, I didn't want to jut be a recreational rider.  Now I am going on my 6th year competing and my goal is to make the MX2 Expert Class.  I have studied many videos to improve my riding styles, turn hundreds of laps to practice the mechanics of turns, braking, jumps, etc.  I have been open to advice, and tips from fellow riders who are able to see things I may not about myself.  My kids don't always attend my races but always look forward to see what trophy (should I place) that I come home with regardless of my finish. In 2020 I am hoping to compete in National races to give me the experience of racing against a full gate (20+ riders).

Competitive Highlights

My competitive highlights are not just about placing well or winning races, they have been about my progression and improvement I have made year after year. Each season I have put focus and training on particular aspects to improve my riding skills.  When you look at my events and results tab you can see  the progression I have made and hope to continue each year to achieve my goal.
