Personal History

Started racing in 1978 in new England. NEMA 80cc novice class. Made Amateur that season. In May of 79 I finished 3rd in the NMA Spring classic National (B class) held at Southwick. Had problems with my 79 KX 80 and got help from the soon to be announced Team Green support program. They were a big help, sending me an engine at one point. Raced til 1984 when College took center stage in my life. Resumed racing in 1990, and attempted a full season in 1992 with great success. By 1996 I had a new baby at home and was running Pro class in New England, as well as select AMA events up and down the east coast. It got to be too much and I called it quits. The next time I would line up at a gate was 2016. Went 1-2 in my first race back and got the bug again. Raced all of 2018, hitting every Vintage race ACR had on the schedule. Again, I had great success..(see Below). In 2019 I decided to go Modern racing and Raced 17 or so rounds (up to this point) of the NESC Spring and Fall series, racing both the 50+and 45+ classes...again I feel I was rather successful. I am a Department head at a Technical School and my girlfriend and I enjoy traveling, and camping at the races. We have made it our 2nd home. We love it.

Riding Goals

I'd like to build on the things I learned this season. This was my first time at many of the tracks on the NESC schedule, and I want to go back with a greater confidence now that I know the tracks. Finishing 3rd in the 50+ Championship exceeded my 2019 goals, but am already making tougher goals for myself in 2020. I plan to race all NESC events as well as all ACR Vintage events to repeat as Champion which I earned in 2018. (2019 I only hit select ACR rounds, due to being in a points battle in NESC, and unfortunately lost the Championship but was undefeated when I showed up.)
