Personal History
I have been riding dirt bikes since I was 10 years old and started racing when I was 14 years old off and on. I found out that I had a cousin named Rocket Rex Staten that was racing so my parents arranged for me to go to Califonia to spend time riding and racing with Rex when I turned 16. I spent two summers with Rex and his family it was like a dream come true for those two summers. To be able to ride and practice with a world Vet PRO at that time. When I returned back to Wyoming at the end of the summer to start my senior year of high school I had more confidence in my riding ability. The summer after I graduated high school I was racing the Wyoming and Colorado circuit on the weekends. At this time I had a full time job in the Oilfield and was starting a family. One race in Casper, Wyoming I broke my arm. After the accident I made the decision to take a break from racing to support my family. In 2000 I bought a new bike and started riding again. I was racing the Wyoming circuit off and on until 2003 until I moved to Colorado. At this time my son Brody was old enough that he wanted to learn how to ride so I was spending my time teaching him how to ride a dirt bike. We moved back to Casper, Wyoming in 2005 and started taking Brody to the HPMA races through out Wyoming. I started racing in 2007 and after completing the race season I finished 4th overall for the year which was an accomplishment for me for taking so much time off to spend helping my son get more experience with riding and racing. I am a very outgoing person that enjoys being in the outdoors riding, hunting, fishing, etc..
