Personal History
- I began began riding in 1976 and raced my 1st Motocross race at Buds Creek in 1976.
- 1984-1987 I raced select AMA 500 Pro Nationals and local races in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. I retired after many injuries.
- After retiring for many years I never lost my love for motocross and returned to MX in 1991 and was required by local track promoters in Illinois/Misouri where I then lived to drop back to C class. I qualified and raced 250 C stock & mod at Loretta Lynns. After getting a bad start I charged from last to 7th before havingĀ a clump of dirt get lodged in my throat. I droped to the back of the pack untill I finally threw up and dislodged the clump and again charged threw the pack. In the 1st moto of the other class I was involved (OK I caused it) in a 1st turn pile up breaking my left ring finger and DNFing the 1st moto. I should have been a front runner and gave it my best shot in the remaining motos and endured the pain and finnished 24th OA in both classes.
- 1991-2001 Competed locally winning many MX races in 30+B and 40+B.
- After retiring again from competition I discovered Supermoto and again came out of retirement in 2003 winning my 1st race that I attended.
Riding Goals
In 2008 I plan on racing as many Supermoto races as I can and racing local MX in North & South Caroloina.
