Personal History
My name is Steven Hokit I live in Bakersfield, California. I'm married and been with my wife for 16 years now. I moved to Bakersfield from Texas during the pandemic and new that I had to start racing again. Especially after a 12 year hiatus from the sport. It quickly turned from just riding around into racing and training. I love motocross and everything that it's taught me about myself. I want to help continue to grow the sport as best as I can.
Riding Goals
I ride for the pure love of the sport. I raced from age 10-17 competitively. When I moved back to California at the age of 30 I knew I had to start riding again. My competitive side immediately came out again and I can't let it go. I love riding and it brings so much happiness to not only me but riding with my dad and friends is everything. My goals this year are to stay healthy unlike last year being injured for most of it. I would like to qualify for Mammoth in the 30+B class and take top 10. I have some local races spread throughout the year along with Loretta Lynn Qualifiers. That would be the ultimate goal is to qualify in the 30+ class. The end of the year I plan on racing the World Vets down at Glen Helen Raceway.
