Personal History

I am Steven Coffin and I devote every waking second thinking or preparing for a race or practice.  I have ridden ever since I was about 6 years old.  My first race was when i was thirteen and it was on a Honda CRF150R.  I raced beginner class and my first race I won, I moved up and for about 3 months i was getting top 5 finishes in the 12-16 class.  I out grew my 150 so I bought a 20008 CRF250r.  I raced beginner class for about 4 races then moved up. In beginner class I won almost every race I entered.  I then moved up to C class and it was a rough road for me... I ended up breaking my leg.  The 2013 season with the help of my local Honda Dealer I will be racing a 2012 CRF250r.  I will be racing B class everywhere I go and hope to see the gates at lorrettas before next season.

Riding Goals

My short term goals are to win my local season in the B Class.  I am also racing in the NM State Series, and I am going to try to get up to Oakhill, Village Creek, or Underground MX once a month.  I have a physical trainer and we are working hard to get ready for ponca city and if everything goes right, we will be on our way to Lorretas.

Competitive Highlights

Most of my racing has been in the 250 class.  I started on my 2008 CRF250r and won beginner class just about every time I signed up.  I moved to C class and have been very consistent with my top 3 finishes.  I won the Open Outlaw class at the 2012 Clovis MX series, and placed 2nd overall in C class.  I didnt get to make every race at Tulie MX, but every time I entered I got top 5 in school boy or C class.  The 2013 season will be my first season in B class and I look for it to be very competitive and successful.
