Personal History

My Name is Steve Weese and I am at the classic age of 38. I have been riding all styles of motorcycles since the early 80's and  I currently ride at a provincial level here in Ontario, Canada. When I was a teenager, like most my focus shifted from riding dirt bikes in the woods and some track time to all road all the time. Once I turned 32 a few years ago my focus shifted back to the dirt when I heard a small local motocross club needed volunteers. I've always had a passion for teaching new people about motorcycles, weather it's turning wrenches or turning corners. I'm not just talking kids but fathers and Wives of those kids and the fun that can be had by all on a bike. So after being around the track a few times the itch came back, and worse than ever. I have now dove into the motocross scene with both feet and I'm loving every minute of it. I still enjoy helping out on the track or in the pits, but promoting the sport to all that I run into is the greatest joy, and with a small background in sales I enjoy talking to people about the sport and the product that acommpanies it. When I'm not riding motocross, I'm training for motocross. My workout includes a intense cross fit routine, mountain biking, and running. Soon I will be purchasing a carbon finer road but for training purposes but I have plans to enter into a Ironman competition this summer.

Riding Goals

At Maguire's Motocross Racing Series the season is divided into three separate race series. In 2016 my plan is to focus on helping out at the track during the Spring/Summer Series allowing me to travel to Canadian national level events to compete. I will then bring my attention back to the provincial level for the Summer/Fall series with my eyes set on a series championship.

Competitive Highlights

Although I've only been racing competitively for the last few years my results have gotten better each year and this year was no different. This year was by far the best with several 2nd and 3rd place finishes with my worst finish being a 9th. It was hard to swallow that 9th but it just showed my weakness on a sand track. Something else that I have been working on with the owners of the race series is a kids sponsorship program. Since I do not have any kids of my own I am trying to work on a program to help out kids that have the same or more passion as I do for the sport.
