Personal History

I am a Army Veteran with 6 1/2 Years serving with the 187th Infantry Regiment from the 101st Airborne Division. I was medically discharged from injuries from Afghanistan and Iraq. I excersize 5 days a week andenjoying running. I love motocross and don't think I'll ever give up riding. i have had a tough 2010 year. I lost alot of confindence in myself but was able to gain it back by just enjoying the competition. Since then the crank on my 450 locked up and was going to cost more than i wanted to put in it to fix. I was able to sell the bike and buy a "new" 08 KTM 250SX-F. I love my new bike and couldn't ask for a better bike. Munn KTM had compltly rebuilt the engine and Chip Munn has been the best Dealer I have ever dealt with. Things were looking up for me, until I tried a triple into a rythem section on a ungroomed track,  I didnt have a good enough run out of the flat corner and came up alittle short, I was kicked forward off the bike into the face of the next. I fractured my pelvis in 4 places, broke 3 ribs and shattered my shoulder. Oops. I am starting to be able to excersize again and can't wait to get back on the bike.

Riding Goals

I have set two main goals for 2011. First I would like to compete for the first time in the Loretta Lynn's National. I have wanted to do this since I first went to my first race. This goal has been difficult to accomplish due to growing up in a single parent home with two other brothers. Second is I would like to run the Music City Marathon. I have ran 2 half marathons but have never ran a full marathon.

Competitive Highlights

While still in the Army I was able to compete in the 2008 800 SX park night series. It was a small localized series and I was able to finish 1st overall in the series in the 250B class. This was a huge accomplishment for myself since I had just been discharged from the Army. This was my second year being able to complete in a full series. In 2007 I competed in the mid-west monster series in the 250C class. I was still on active duty and had recently returned from my second deployment to Iraq. I was able to finish 2nd overall in the series and gained alot of confindence in myself. I then moved to the B class and started to learn alot more about racing. This past year(2010) has not been the best season for me. I had not been able to prepare myself for the year. My first race I DNF'd in my 450B class in both motos. It was very discouraging but I was still able to finish 7-7 in my 25+ junior class. I looked back on that and learned alot about what I needed to do for the next race. During the Loretta's area qualifier I wanted to go back out and just gain back some of my lost confindence. I was able to finish 7th overall which would have sent me to the regional qualifier but I didnt pay the extra $10 to be in the running for it. This race helped me gain alot more confindence in myself and I decided to use the rest of the year to "refit".
