Personal History
My name is Stephen Elgiar Father to Kyson, Ryan, and Brynlee Elgiar and Husband to Shalene Elgiar. Our family thrives on practicing and racing motocross year round. We are based out of Farr West Utah. If we are not at the track you can find me and the family shredding snowmobiles in the beautiful backcountry of Utah.
Riding Goals
These goals are not my own as I support my two boys Kyson and Ryan in their journey to become better motocross riders as time progress. Both boys race competitively in the RMX series that races at tracks in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Nevada.
Kyson who is 11 years old has recently moved up to the 85cc advanced class and is working towards becoming competitive in that class. Coming from the 65cc class where he was consistently a top 15 rider he now has a new challenge in a class stacked with outstanding talent. Currently working from the back of the 85 class pack his goal is to be competitive near the middle of the pack by the end of the season and eventually working his way into the top 10. From that point there is only one direction to go and that is up. He aspires to be a top 5 rider and possibly make a run at mammoth motocross next year!
Ryan who is 9 years old is currently competing in the 50cc advanced class and 65cc advanced class. His goal for this season is to finish top 5 overall in the 50cc advanced class and is currently sitting 8th and 9th overall with his best finish of the year being a 4th so his goal is in sight. he has worked from being top 10 to being closer to the top 5 in recent months. Ryan currently sits inside the top 20 as a 65cc rider but is making progress daily and is working his way through the pack. As one of the younger kids in the 65cc class he rides amazing and is working his way towards becoming a top 10 rider by the end of the season with the progress he has made.
Competitive Highlights
Both boys have several 1's, 2's, and 3's in various local series including HPMA, Utah Moto Co, and Mini MX league all of which are based out of Utah or Wyoming. We now follow the RMX series which is the premier series for our area to help push ourselves to become some of the best riders in our region. The boys have been making great progress climbing closer and closer to the top with every race.
Ryan was able to compete in KTM JR SX this year at the Glendale round of supercross where he qualified in the top 5 all day and finished 7th in his main event battling with one of his competitors that he races locally during the winter in Mesquite Nevada
