Personal History
I am soon to be 40 years old in November. I have been married for 14 years and I have a daughter that is 10 and a son that is 7. I grew up in New Orleans and relocated to the Houston,TX area after Hurricane Katrina. I started riding/racing when I was about 8 years old and have been a fan ever since. In the mid to late 90's I owned a MX track for about 4 years and it was an awesome experience but a LOT of work!! I am still actively racing since my son began racing this year; it's a little harder on the body but I guess it keeps me young.
Riding Goals
I am currently racing in a night series in the east Texas area and got first place at the opening event. I race the 35+ B class. My future events will just involve this series that runs through November. After that, the Holeshot Winter Series in the greater Houston area kicks off and it is a great series!
Competitive Highlights
I raced the Houston Holeshot Series that began in January and ran through the first week in April. I finished second overall in the 30+ class and in the 25+ class. This series gives Holeshot awards for EVERY MOTO. In the big bike classes, I received an award at the end of the series for Most Holeshots; out of 18 possible, I got 15. After that I went on to qualify for Loretta Lynn's in the 35+ class. It was my first time and I struggled a bit. My best finish was 30th.
