SMALL TOWN GIRL IN A BOY'S SPORT
Hi my name is Sophie Harvey.I am a 9 year old girl living in a small town called Garden City located in Missouri.I am writing to you because I love racing and competing very much.I started riding in 2006. I raced the local year long series last year on a KTM 50 and did pretty good for my first year!I am a straight A student at school. I also compete in soccer, basketball, and softball.I love spending my time with my two best friends , they also race.We have a small track behind our house that I practice on.I like riding anytime the weather is warm.My favorite movie is Norbit. My favorite singer is Taylor Swift.I love popcorn!!!!!OH-also , I loved it when i beat any boys I raced against!!!!!I hope I have told you enough about my self!
Riding Goals
My number 1 goal is to place 1st in a State race! I would like to atleast do good against all the other girls. It will be nice this year cause I will get to compete with just girls at the state races. Last year at the local races I had to race boys and girls.And there was only like 4 girls.I also hope to not have any bad crashes.
Competitive Highlights
For last year I placed 5th in the year long series here in Missouri ( Mid America Motocross) . I also placed 5th at the Missouri State Fair.I placed 2nd at the Butler County Fair. I place 3rd at the Bates County Fair.I placed 3rd at the Cass County Fair. Most of these were not real big races but it was my first year racing . I was happy with how I finished..
