Rider Updates

Hey all!
I am just arriving home after a very long month out in Ontario! Yes indeed, I made it to Ontario to race, which I have been wanting to do for so long. Dad drove us out at the beginning of the month so I could continue training and get use to the climate there. I was able to get to Gopher Dunes and ride there a few times but unfortunately it had rained there quite a bit so I was not able to ride at Motopark like I had wished. Anyways, when we got to the Walton track, I was so excited. The track was in perfect condition and I was ready to get out and ride it. Mom and I ran around trying to find someone to pit for me because my Dad ended up having to fly back home and work. We could not find someone to help so Mom just decided to do it on her own (only Mom in the pits!!!!).
So practice day was the most successful day of the week. I ended the day with the fastest lap times and was able to hit every jump on the track, which helped myself with confidence. The next three days did not go as planned though. The first day I had a terrible start but was able to catch back up into second place. Then on the last lap I went down a few corners before the finish battling with three other girls. That set me back to sixth place for the day. The next day ended even worse. I had a way better start but kept crashing and could not figure out what was wrong. When I came off the track after the checkered flag in eighth place, my brother noticed I had a flat tire! So I was not impressed but there was nothing I could do. I just knew I had to go into the last day blazing and maybe come out with a third place overall.
The next morning came along and I was so ready to go. Track was in mint condition and I was ready to show those east girls what the wast girls were made of seeing as I was one of three west girls that were able to attend this event. Sure enough, considering all the bad luck I had been receiving through out the week, I was in a pile
