Personal History

I live for motocross. Every weekend you can find me at Albany Motocross Park either practicing or racing. Although i wouldn't have motocross in my life if it weren't for my dad. My dad brought me into motocross. He had me starting out on a honda fatwheel that i absolutely HATED. Once i turned 7 he bought me a brand new honda 50 and i loved it and i started competing. Later i got a Kawisakki 65cc and those couple years i was on that were really tough. I would ALWAYS stall out of the gate and my dad would run out to come help me but one day he didn't help me and let me figure it out myself. Once he did that i never stalled my bike again. When i was about 10 i got a Suzuki 85 and those years were good but once i got my Suxuki big wheel i was 10X faster then i was on my regular 85. After I was done with my 85s I got a 2007 Husky 125 and was doing okay later he bought me a semi-used 2009 Husky 125 and i did good on that too. When i got my first Kawasakki 250 4 stroke it was like i was floating on clouds! I absolutely loved that thing. One day my dad said we had to go to Power Yamaha because i cracked my air box on my Kawasakkii. I should have known something was up because #1 the rest of my mom and brother came to and #2 Power Yamaha doesn't fix bikes. I got out of the truck and saw this brand new 2010 250 Yamaha 4 stroke and absolutely fell in love with it (i still didn't know it was mine) then i kept looking at other bikes and i kept going back to the Yamaha and my dad walks up and says "Shelby, this is yours". I FLIPPED OUT! iI was sooooooo excited. But my mom and especially dad have always been there for me. My grandparents haven't really liked the whole racing dirt bikes thing and wish i would find a different sport but racing is in my soul now and there is no going back :) Other than motocross i like to ride horses, socialize, talk, play outside with my brother, read magazines, and watch the races with my dad. School is really important to me. I love school because i get to see my friend and to be honest i don't mind all the home work. My life is very balanced and i have time to do all the things I enjoy most.
