Personal History

Hi! My name is Shawn jacobs, gotta be honest I’m a bit old to be just starting on dirtbikes. I grew racing go carts, modified sand sprint cars in Ohio and the surrounding area, joined the military and ever since then I’ve called North Carolina home. When my youngest so. Nicholi said he wanted to race dirt bikes just over a year ago I gave up racing so that it was my kids turn. Well you can take the racer outta the sport but not the sport outta the racer so my two sons convinced me to buy a bike. I started on a 2001 rm125 and quickly found out I was to big for a 125, I bought a 2000 rm250 and started racing that. But like with any older bike I was outclassed by newer lighter bikes so I sold the RM and bought an older factory support ktm 250 sx-f outta California. I’m currently still riding that bike and love it! I’m just adjusting to the difference between 2T and 4T

Riding Goals

Realistically I’m not looking to go pro my time has come and gone, I’m just looking to be the best that I can be and more importantly I want to be someone that not only my kids but other kids can look up to. I’ve had knee reconstructive surgery and wasn’t suppose to be able to ride again but here I am fighting through the pain trying to teach my kids that if you love something enough there is nothing that can stop you from doing it

Competitive Highlights

I’ve raced a grand total of 5 times. My first race I was fast enough for last place, the next 2 races I took back to back 3rd OA and decided to move out of the beginner class, fast breeds fast in my opinion. I raced the warrior class, which is a mix of all classes open only to those active duty and retired military I took 17th OA, most riders were on bigger bikes or were younger than me. My first race in 250c I took 7th OA out of 18 riders, I dislocated my shoulder during the race or I think I would of done better
