Personal History
I grew up in a offroad family and have many happy childhood memories at the glamis sand dunes with my dad in his sandrail. I begged him my whole life to get a dirt bike but he felt it was unsafe. As soon as I turned 18 I bought a YZ80 and taught myself how to ride. I worked incredibly hard and rode 4-5 days a week until I started to surpass my friends who had ridden their whole lives. I absolutely lived and breathed for dirt bikes and it was my passion to continue to improve my skills.
My life came crashing down and forever chaninged in 2020 I sustained a c5 spinal cord Injury and Was initially paralyzed from the neck down. I stayed positive and motivated during rehab and even then knew I would make it back on a bike sometime. 6 months later, even with my left arm and leg still paralyzed I got back on my dirt bike with many many adaptions and modifications and riding with one hand. I spent countless hours just working on my form and basic skills until I came up with my own idea to attach my arm to the bars. It took off from there and I started ro make huge strides in riding.
That same year after lots of practice and hard work I entered in for my local race series and was the overall winner for the series even against other able bodied women. I was back at it and due to my mindset and perseverance I am continuing to get faster and more competitive. When many in my position would never even try get back on the dirt bike I am continuing to exceed even my own expectations.
