Personal History

Started racing back in 2004 with a 2001 YZ125, which kept blowing up. Raced a total of 1 1/2 years with it before I got myself a brand new 2005 YZ250f.

The first year of racing wasn't too bad, placed 5th overall on about 20 riders. Gained ALOT of experience and built up my stamina. Trained alot during the winter to step up my game for 2005.

Started off so so, managed to stay in the top 10 up until I got my 4-stroke. That's when the fun really began. As soon as I started racing with it I got holeshot after holeshot, top 3 after top 3. Managed to get a few 1st place finishes which was really fun. At the end of the season I finished of getting 2nd overall on about 30.

For the next 3 years I was obliged to stop motocross because my father got really sick, had operations every month and that totally drowned me since he was the one who started me off in the sport. On May 22nd 2007, he was struck with cancer of the liver which  took him over... After 1 1/2 years, I finally decided I could get back on the bike, and ride for my dad's memory.

Sold the 05 YZ250f and bought a 2009 YZ250f. Time to get the top spot back!

Riding Goals

In the 2009 season, with it being my first year back in racing after my fathers death, I want to do good. Not half pack, not top ten, not even top 5... I want that Number 1 plate. I got 2nd place the last year I raced and now I'm coming for the kill!

I have stocked up on parts like chains, sprockets, oils, filters both air and oil, grease, handlebars, levers, etc. So in the event of something happening at a race I have a spare. I will be racing EVERY race, including the Walton Amateur National Qualifier. If I win that race I am automatically entered for the Walton Trans-Can National.

Competitive Highlights

First year of racing I did good, raced only half the year but still managed to get a top 5 on a couple dozen riders. Second year I really wanted to win but due to a mechanical issue with my 2-stroke (reason for buying the new bike) I was left to settle for 2nd. Which I am still VERY proud of because there were over 30 racers in that class. And in the Grand Prix class (125 & 250cc) I got 5th place on about 20. Have won numerous podium finishes and had the holeshot about 70% of the time.
