Personal History
Hi my name is Sean Donovan, I am 15 years old and have been racing since I was 12 and riding since I was 5. I race the Jday offroad series and compete in the B-open and Junior class. Last year I ended up 2nd overall for the year in the junior class. This year I started out in the junior class for the first 5 rounds and at round 6 I decided to try something new and moved up to the B-open class. I walked away that day with the overall win for the B-open class and never went back to juniors. I knew that because I was 5 races behind I wasn't going to be able to take the champion ship but i set my goal of making top 10. There were 10 races left and I knew I wasn't going to be able to do all of them because of family trips. So each race I gave it 110% to make top 5 or better. I went on to win a total of 3 races the rest of the season and because of weather, track conditions, and bike problems at the last race I had to DNF that round. When the season came to a close i ended up 8th overall for the year. I wasn't happy at all about that! I hoped to do a lot better but I didn't beat myself up to much because of the fact I missed the first 5 races. I have decided to race the junior class for the 2015 season because if i get 10 more promotional points I will be moved to the A class and I don't want to do that quite yet.
Riding Goals
Some of my racing goals are to take the championship in the junior class for the 2015 season, make it to the A class by the time i'm 16, and to be in the pro class when i am 18. This year will be my first year racing in the winter with studded tires and I hope to win some races there but I mostly am just doing it for riding time and just to have some fun with my friends!
