Personal History

Hello, my name is Sean Berglund, I am currently an local Pro around the Pacific Northwest. Like most motocross riders, I started at the young age of 3yrs old, progressing through my childhood racing, I won multiple Oregon State championships, took top 10 at the World Grand Prix in (3) separate classes as well as top 5 at Loretta Lynn’s in the same classes. As I began to move up into the 80cc class, I began to sustained multiple injuries that set me back and eventually my parents no longer had the funds to support me and racing. At that point I was 10 years old. So with that, I looked other places to enjoy sports and found myself getting a scholarship to go play college football. While in California, my roommate had a yzf450 that he had barely taken out. Granite, I hadn’t been on a bike at this time in over 10 yrs. Once I jumped on it and took it out, the rest is history, went out, bought a new 450 KTM. I then progressed in one year from junior to Intermediate and then 4 months later, I declared I was going to turn Pro. I worked so hard to get back on a bike and see what I could do, specially since the kids I grew up racing against were Ryan Villipoto, Josh Hill and Cole Seeley. But after a long turn of events and all the hard work, my dreams of racing once again were taken from me. At this time, I had to take care of priorities and motocross was not paying the bills. So I sold the bike and took another 8 years off. 2 years ago, I finally got everything in order and have now bought a New KTM 450, my wife and I currently just purchased our dream home on 5 acres and I have been building a nice motocross track out back. My progression within the past two years has been extraordinary fast, I do need to train more and am planning to start this week, including weekly training motor on the track. My goal is to compete in this years pro class around the NW and possibly receive my AMA Pro License. I ask that any sponsors please consider picking me up to help out in anyways possible. I appreciate the time, Sean
