Personal History
Hi! My name is Scotty Thomason. I'd like to start by saying thanks for taking your time to review my resume. For the 2008 season I'll be running the number 882 so keep an eye out! I've been riding motorcycles since I learned to walk. I love every minute of it, from the clothes I wear to the dirt in my teeth after a moto. I wouldn't trade this for anything. To me, this sport is more than just a career. It's an opportunity to take life to its fullest, to be able to "be someone". This year I am more focused than ever, so if you're looking for someone who has heart and dedication...please, consider me to represent your company. You will not be disappointed.
Riding Goals
I have many goals for the 2008 season. A lot of them deal with both the mental and physical sides of training. Physically I feel very prepared for this season as well as mentally. It was a big goal of mine to get myself 100% focused on this years race season. And I've done that. One of my biggest personal goals though has to be that I want to prove to everyone who's doubted me or said "you can't", wrong. I would also like to put in a few top 10 overall's at the nationals.
Competitive Highlights
My whole careers a competitve highlight! Maybe not though, the first time on a bike was kinda sketchy... I raced the Amatuer Nationals at Lorretta Lynn's in 2002, 04`, 05`, 06`, and 07`. In Oct. of 2007 I also raced the Montreal DeSupercross in Montreal, Quebec. The hardest part wasn't the race though, it was getting there. I had no ride so I managed to fit my Honda 450f in the back of a Pontiac Vibe (Yes I do have pictures). I placed 20th in the main event, had a great start but my suspension wasn't set up for supercross so mid way through my back end swapped hard and down I went. I did manage to finish the race with a tweaked out bike!
