Personal History
I'm a 40 yr old husband and father of 2 great boys (10 and 8 yrs) and I love riding dirt bikes. I ride at least every weekend and more often when I can. I love that I can go out and tune every thing out for a few hours and just think about riding. It's the perfect escape!
Riding Goals
I would like to continue competing in regional hare scrambles and also do some enduros this year. I do hit the mx tracks from time to time but haven't made any real plans to compete in that arena yet. I would like to at least be competitive as a fast B or slower A rider before I retire.
Competitive Highlights
I did my first hare scramble in mid 2012. Absolutely loved the format and the people so I competed for points in the open beginner class for the SORCS 2013 season. I was leading points through 7 races when I caught my go pro on a low hanging limb, tore my brain stem which bled and caused a stroke. My season was over. Very scary times for about 6 weeks but I'm fully recovered and came back strong to win the championship in the SORCS 2014 Winter Series for the 40+ C class. I hope to carry that momentum on through into the summer series.
