Personal History
Sawyer Saunders, a rising star from Sechelt, BC, displays exceptional talent and determination, dominating motocross circuits across Canada and now in the USA. At just 9 years old, Sawyer has already earned numerous accomplishments and championships, with many more on the horizon. While motocross racing is his primary passion, Sawyer remains a fun-loving young boy at heart. He is the life of the pits and a leader among his peers, whether at Canadian races or with his new friends in the USA. Sawyer frequently receives compliments for his compassion toward others and his polite demeanor with both adults and children. When not riding at the track or training in the gym, Sawyer can be found fishing, watching fishing videos, or talking about fishing. He recently convinced his family to build a pond next to his home track so he could stock it with trout and fish whenever he likes.
Sawyer began riding dirt bikes at age 3, and it has been his passion ever since. His first race was at age 5, and despite early challenges, he was eager to compete again. Learning proper and safe riding techniques at a young age has contributed to his success in both race finishes and maintaining his health throughout his young career.
Sawyer is a dedicated and disciplined young man who takes his riding and training seriously, committing to multiple riding and workout sessions each week. During the winter months, his family travels to California to train with Caleb Tenant and other coaches at various tracks and facilities. Next winter, they plan to relocate to a training compound in Texas to further support Sawyer’s growth in the sport he loves.
Riding Goals
Motocross is Sawyer's Passion. He has built his many life skills from being at the track and interacting with so many amazing people throughout his journey so far. His closest friends are his moto buddies, his best friends are his parents and sisters and we believe this all stems from being at the track, in the motorhome and just being together.
