Personal History
Hello
I'm Sam , I have riding since I was a kid . I started to race when I was in my teens then as I kept riding over the years always working on my own bikes , I was able to race move often.I like to be in control of my own machine and transport and over the years I'd say I have gained most of my experience riding solo or going to races on my own .I love the support i have from my family and my friends .At some points I rode 5 days a week off road and on the road this also give me a great deal of experience in situations where you need to know your own skill level at times.I started off buying and selling small motorbikes when I was young and as I got older I road more and now im very select in thee bikes I ride ,I love two strokes , nothing but two strokes in my garage . I'm at the moment saving for a bike and building another to race season coming . I have over the years built and maintained all of my own bikes ,I only get parts from shops but don't leave my bike in. My next build in progress is a 2016 yz125 . I'm 25 but I ride a few different classes and races depending on the weather and the club running the events.
I race the evo class on a 1990 Honda cr250 . then I race a KTM 150 xc 2010 in enduro events . I also use a Yamaha Wr 250 for enduro racing. I plan to race in at least 5 classes next year in 2017 so really looking forward to it and meeting new people track side :)
Riding Goals
I like to enter some of the hard enduro events as I feel most of my confidence is when racing tight technical sections and rough terrain. I just hope to keep riding and enjoying that itself. I would like to be at the best I could in time.
Competitive Highlights
The best I have placed is 2nd I a very hard enduro event, I felt great after because I had tried before to place better and I did in the end.
Racing against some of Irelands best riders in a memorable occasion. Racing in the A class with top riders from all around Northern Ireland and getting a good result due to bad track conditions I pulled through while alot of the mx riders had a hard time with suspension settings too hard.
