I did it! I made it to Loretta Lynn's again. This weekend was great. I had qualified in the areas in both the 7-9 stock and 7-11 mod class at Pleasure Valley.
Pleasure Valley is not my most favorite track and the last couple of races there I didn't finish well, so this regional had me worried.
On Saturday I got 3rd in my heat race. The day was long and hot and at about 6:00 pm I got my 2nd stock moto in. I got the hole shot and then ended up with a 5th in that moto.
I also qualified in the 7-11 mod class and got 10th in my heat race. In the 2nd moto my parents left it up to me as to whether I wanted to try to make it in both classes or concentrate and stay healthy to get in on the stock class. I decided to let the mod class go and use the 2nd mod race as my stock practice. I've never had so much fun now that the pressure for the mod practice was off. Even though after the race and finishing pretty much about last my dad said that I came around the 1st turn in 5th, probably should have kept on it, oh well, you never know.
Anyways, in the 3rd stock moto, I got the holeshot again and by the 2nd lap I wanted to win this moto and kept on it. Everyone was helling at me and I went on to win the moto. I'm really proud of myself for getting the win and not simply settling for another place, like I normally would.
