Personal History
Hi my name is Ryan Weatherby and I live in Alma Michigan and have been riding motocross for 26 years. I ride mostly d-14 ama tracks here in Michigan and have started riding tracks in the surrounding states. I have a wife of 22 years and two children who are also involved in the sport, Tallon rides and Maddy has a boyfriend that rides. I tend to spend at least two days a week at a track somewhere riding my bike and have started going to Alabama twice a winter to train a bit when it is cold up here.
Riding Goals
My main goal at this age is to have fun with it! I would like to maintain my speed as long as I can so I train throughout the year to keep that up. My goals for next year is to go to Lorreta's and top ten the 40 plus and top fifteen the 35 plus classes. Another goal of mine is to try and help younger riders become better riders and keep them interested in it being about fun because lets face it, if you are not stupid fast you are not going to make a living at it.
Competitive Highlights
In my carrer I have had a few highlights as I rode at Lorrettas from 1989-1991 going fron c-slass to a-class in three years. I also won my regional in 2013 in the 35 plus and took second in the 40 plus behind this years 40 plus champ. I got to Lorrettas in 2013 and struggled in the mud but did get a 14th in one 35 plus moto and a 11th in a moto in the 40 plus. bike problems held me back for sure, the mud killed it!LOL!
