Rider Updates

Well for my first attempt at Loretta Lynns, I came into the event not really knowing how to handle the pressure. My first moto I ran in third for the first three laps then I faded I ended the first moto in seventh. Moto two was real muddy I got a great start and rode a real safe race. Too safe infact and got passed at the checkered by one tenth of a second to finish sixth. The final race was my chance to make it all back. On the first lap I stalled my bike in the corner while trying to put the pass on first place. That minor set back left me in seventeenth place. I made a great charge that left me a little short at the end. I finished the moto in eighth place. So my moto scores of 7, 6, and 8 left me in eighth overall. Next year will be a different story.

Moto one I got the holeshot and led three laps before being passed on the final lap, settling for second place. The second moto didn't start out so hot, when I came around the first corner I was in second to last place but I put my head down and my had on the gas and started passing my way up the second before the end of the race. My 2-2 moto scores was good enough to secure top honors for the day.

On my way back from MTF I decided to stop in IL and race the area qualifier. I kept telling myself that I could fight through the pain in my ankle. In the first race I started around the first corner in third. I was running good for the first few laps and then I died quickly. The second race it seemed if something could go wrong it did. My handle bars were sliding in the mounts. I seem to keep stalling in the corners. Not a good weekend. I believe I finished tenth over all.

My week down south at MTF was great. I met a lot of nice people and learned a lot. On one of the days we were practicing rollers,I swapped out pretty good. I tweeked my ankle pretty good. I was not able to walk much but I didn't come all that way to sit there and watch everyone else ridde so I soldiered up and finished the week strong. I would just like to thank everyone down there at MTF, it was a great experience.
