Personal History
My names ryan McAteer im 18 years old, i live right outside of pittsburgh pa in the town of monroeville. i been riding dirtbikes since i was 7-8 but couldnt affored to race until last year. i fell in love with racing and try and make it out every weekend to compete. i ride a honda always have i own several bikes but only race my 450r and on occasion the 250r. This season allthough still at the begging ive made huge progress i had a 4th place in an arenacross event, and many other good rides everyweekend. I still am a little frightend by bigger jumps but each week i hit something bigger and my confidence it growing.outside of racing i try and stay as active as possible i work alot and spend alot of time with my girlfriend of 2 years. i play hockey and have for a long time, in the winter i snowboard everyday besides riding a bike its my other passion in life. i work hard to keep my bike in race condition by working to make money for it and taking time to work on the bike. I am fortunete to have good support in my racing. my family is behind me all the way and help as much as possible. for the future i plan on racing alot and improving my riding everyday i am going to work as hard as i can to start winning events and move up a class.
Riding Goals
My goals for this year is to keep progressing.ride hard everyday and have fun doing it. Winning a main event would be awsome and i am working my hardest to make that a reality in the near future. by the end of the year i would like to hit every jump at every track to be more competitive and hopefully improve enough to move up to b class sometime next season.
Competitive Highlights
The biggest highlight for me everyweek is just being able to race, but finishing top 5 in some of my races has been great. I have won 1 race but i dont see it to highly because there wasnt many people in the race. I know soon enough though ill be in the top 10 everyweekend if i just work hard at it and put the time in to it and thats a highlight knowing whats to come in my racing career
