Personal History
Hello, my name is Ryan Kudla and I am looking to represent your company for this upcoming year, 2009. I began riding when I was 4 years old on a PW50, and I began my racing career at 15 on a YZ250. This is now my 5th year racing in the District 37 desert and my 2nd year contesting the National Hare and Hound and US Desert Racing Series. Currently I am leading the Open A class in the National Hare and Hound Series and am ranked 6th in the Overall standings. Unfortunately at the Dirt Diggers Desert Scramble this year I had a very serious crash and I fractured the C-7 vertebrae in my neck. Since fracturing my neck I have missed three rounds of the National Hare and Hound Series and I am still leading the points for the Open A class, and still have a possibility for winning the Championship in that class. While doing all this I am a full time student at Cal Poly Pomona with a GPA of 3.5. I believe this shows my potential for success as a racer and in 2009 I will be back and hungry for some wins out in the desert. I look forward to your support and representing your company to the best of my abilities in 2009.
Riding Goals
The first part of 2009 will most likely be devoted to healing and getting back to the speed I showed in 2008. Depending on the physical therapy progress I should be racing again in the February to April time frame and from here the series’ that I will be contesting will be the AMA National Hare and Hound Series, USDR, and the District 37 Desert Series; in addition too this I will be doing select events in the WORCS series, AMA National Hare Scramble Series, the BIG 6 Grand Prix Series, and the Laughlin Hare Scramble.
In 2009 I want to:
- Win the USDR Open Pro Championship
- Win the District 37 Open class Championship
- Finish top 3 in the National Hare and Hound Series
- Finish top 5 in the Pro 2 class at a WORCS event
