Hello,
My name is Ryan Hegler. I race in the 450 Pro, 250 Pro, and Open Pro classes in SRAC (Sports Riders Association of Colorado). # 118.
I am interested in any kind of sponsorship I may be eligible for.
I love to ride! I live to race! It is more than a hobby, it is my passion!
I am 27 years old, from Pueblo Colorado. I like the outdoors, I like to camp, hike, jetski, snowboard, and most of all,...duh ride and race MotoX!!
Not saying I don't have loving parents because I do! But they have not supported me very much in the sport. They would rather me do something less dangerous. In fact they have only attended about 3 or 4 of my about 70 race events. But they seem to be warming up to my passion for MotoX a little more now that I have turned Pro in the state of Colorado.
So I have pretty much spent all of my own extra hard earned money with only about $400 of Contingency awards in 2007 from Suzuki and Answer gear.
And I ride a 2 stroke! Thats right! I have pulled holeshots in the B class with one as well! I ride a 2010 YZ 250 good ol fassion pure power-band 2 stroke! I use to ride a 2006 RM 250.
I am a very independent person with ambition to succeed in motocross but find it hard financially in this bad economy. I seek employment with a Civil Engineering firm where I can continue my still new career of Civil Engineering and utilize my Degree in Civil Engineering Technology in which I earned in May of 2007.
I would be grateful for any sponsorship that could help me out with some race fees and/or discounts or anything for that matter.
Riding Goals
I just started racing the 450 pro, 250 Pro and open Pro classes 2/3 of the way through the 2009 season and hope to improve my riding ability to help me advance in the professional class and as a rider!
Most of all I enjoy racing and free riding with my buddies and having a good time!
Competitive Highlights
I have been racing since 2001 but have only raced seriously in the 03, 07, 08, and the 09 seasons.
In 2003 I finished 6th over all in the 125 C MotoX class.
In 2007 I finished 1st over all in the 250 C MotoX and 2nd over all in the 250 C SuperX.
In 2008 I finished 3rd over all in the 250 B MotoX 3rd over all in the 250 B SuperX, and 4th over all in the open B SuperX.
In 2009 I was leading the points in both 250 B and Open B before I marked out into the Pro class.
