Personal History
Hello, my dad got me into riding as a kid living in San Diego. He got me a Suzuki DS 80 because the dealer was out of RM 80s. We moved to Virginia Beach, Va in 1980, he got me a Honda CR80 and I started racing motocross and harescrambles. Had a long break from racing after 1982. Bought a new Honda CR 250 in 1997 got back into racing, I now race a 2017 CRF450, just put the electric start on it. I'm sharing my love for riding with my son Nick, he started on a Suzuki JR50 then KTM 50's and 65. He's now on a 2018 CRF250. We eat and breathe dirtbikes. There is nothing we would rather be doing. I'm currently a member of the Mississippi Air National Guard, and work for a Navy contractor at Nas Meridian as an Aircraft welder.
Riding Goals
My riding goals at my age is to keep riding and racing as long as I can. I'm hoping to increase the number of races we get to go to this year and up coming years. I would like to try and qualify for Lorretta Lynn next year in the 45+ or 50+ class.
Competitive Highlights
I've had pretty good success throughout my racing career. As a teen I never lost a harescramble race on my CR80. Usually finished 2nd in motocross every race, bike was stock against modded bikes. In my adult racing I have finished 2nd in a local series in 2008, and have good results from all the local races I have entered.
