Personal History

I began riding at the age of 10. My dad bought my brother and I Hondas from the local country dealer just down the road from our house. A Z50 and an XR70 to be exact. We rode around the farm, didn't tighten spokes, forgot to change oil if Dad was out flying and that was that...until I went to a friends house and saw a 99 CR250R. I was never the same. Soon I had a 2001 Honda CR125R that I worked my butt off to get at my grandparents horse farm and my Dad's private airport. Grandpa wasn't happy when I traded my horse show prospects for amateur motocross. My first race was at the West Alec fair on a Thursday night. Who knows what I finished. I think there's a third place trophy from that night floating around here somewhere. There is also a Supercross Futures 125B/C 7th place trophy from the Arlington 2020 round that occured days before lockdown and mere months before my cancer diagnosis.

Riding Goals

In Feb 2020, I was on top of the world having raced SX Futures for the second year in a row. Then COVID shutdown the world, cancelled my transfer to Houston, and opened the door to the most hellish year of my life at 31 years old. I was diagnosed in June of 2020 with an aggressive form of lymphoma. Lets just say I fought day and night for the next six months to see my son's birth and reclaim my former self physically, spiritually, and emotionally. I worked from the hospital during the days and lived motocross through youtube at night while the chemo pump ticked away one bag at a time. I spent over 40 days in that hospital room during the pandemic and swore I'd ride again if I survived this to be a father to my son and a husband to my wife. If you don't make time in this life to fill your soul bucket with what makes you tick then why fight so hard to stay alive. I leverage motocross to be the best version of myself that I can be. After all, I have been blessed with a second chance to leave a legacy. When I'm gone someday I want everyone to remember that I was passionate about life. I've been racing GNCC and local moto this year. I plan to do a few more GNCCs, the Pastrana Challenge, and Day in the Dirt Out East. Next year I plan to qualify for Lorettas in the Vet Class 30+.
