Personal History
It all started with I was five years old and my ten year old brother got his first dirt bike. I was fascinated by its ability to navigate tough terrain. I practiced on my bicycle and worked hard to earn my first dirt bike. When I was nine years old I got my first dirt bike, a 1994 YZ80. I rode with my father and brothers, in brutal, rocky tailings from previous anthracite coal strip mining operations. I learned quickly with the unforgiving powerband of the small engine. I also was competing in endurance mountain bike races. Due to the suffering that came from the mountain bike racing, I decided to pursue dirt bike racing instead. The background in mountain bike racing helped with my dirt bike skills. I work full time as a carpenter to help support the finances of racing. I recently joined the High Mountain Dirt Riders Club, which hosts two ECEA sanctioned events, one harescramble and one enduro. I will be participating in preparations, including building trail, registration, scoring and clean up. The club also gives back to the community with volunteer work of cleaning up roads and things of the sort.
Riding Goals
This season I will be competing in the B Class for the ECEA for points. I will be racing harescrambles and a few closed course enduros. My goals are to place top five in B Class 200cc, and top ten in B Class Open. I'll be training and competing with one close buddy and my brother, who will also be racing in the ECEA series.
