Personal History
Member of the Over the Hill Gang racing club and I am starting my eleventh year racing with the club. www.bayothg.com I have been riding and racing for 34 years. I started out when my parents got sick of me asking for a mini bike/motorcycle since the age of 7 so my dad got me a job. He told me that was the only way that I would be able to get a motorcycle is if I was buying it myself. I rode my homemade BMX bike to work cleaning up the parking lot where my dad worked then I went from there to school. I earned enough money to get a Suzuki street/dirt 90. My dad was proud of what I had accomplished so he said to me you know that 90 is not big enough for you and since you did such a good job I will kick in the rest of the money for a 125! The local Suzuki shop Jensen’s Cycles used to work on my bike for free when I started racing at 16 years of age. I stopped racing and got married at 18 and did not start racing again until I was almost 40. I missed it terribly!!
Riding Goals
My next goal is to be the OTHG +45 Intermediate OTHG National Champion – 2009 CMA Pacific Coast Champion and also keep supporting and coaching my nephew Ryan Pluckhan. He has been racing with me the past eight years. Ryan is 16 years old and is pretty fast now running up front in the CMA 450 & 250 novice classes.
