Personal History

Hello, my name is Rogelio Olarte. I am a 10 year-old motocross rider. My motocross career started when I was 6 years old. Since then I´ve been riding my KTM here in Panama and in a few races in the United States, Costa Rica and Ecuador. Motocross is my passion, sometimes I feel disappointed beacuse in Panama motocross is not well supported. I have to say that all I have achieved is thanks to my parents and family who sponsor me every single thing to be in this sport. I believe that to be a succesful rider it is a magic combination between rider and bike. I meant rider because we need to have the willingness to become a better rider day after day, the compromise to train an train no matter what obstacles you find in the path (country in my case) and the desire to succeed. A good bike is also very important, I remember when I went to my first FIM Latin America Minicross Championship, I went with an old bike, the result was that my bike broke up on the practice day, my dad had to rent me a bike in Ecuador the day of the race. Thanks God I was able to finish 8th among 22 competitors. It was my first experience and that is why I say bike is also a key factor in being a good rider.

If I get any type of sponsorship, it would be definetely a great relief to my parents and they would be able to afford trips to more international competitions. Which means more knowledge and experience to me.

Riding Goals

I dream of becoming a professional motocross rider in the long term. That´s my dream since as long as I could remember.

In this 2017, I would like to go to Guatemala on May 5-7 for the FIM Latin America Minicross Championship. I would like to go to the miniO`s competition to see how I am among such many other riders. I would like to race some events of the Costa Rica National Championship, because I just came back from CR and noticed that their motocross`level is much higher that ours in Panama.

It would be great if I could go to a motocross camp in the United States.
