Personal History
Although my name is Gavin, everyone in our motocross world knows me as "Tank". My dad gave me that name when I was born and it has stuck ever since. I will be 8 years old in April of this year. I started out riding a PW50 when I was only 3 years old. I started racing when I was 4. Riding dirt bikes and racing them is all I really want to do. I tried baseball and football but I didn't like having to miss out on riding and racing while we played our games so I don't play anymore.
Last year I mostly competed in the Oklahoma State Series but didn't attend all the rounds. We like to pick good tracks that will have good competition and go there. I also placed 4th in Ponca City for the Loretta Lynn area qualifier. In the winter I raced in the Liquid Nitro Arenacross series. I just finished up the last round and I will end up with 2nd overall for the series in the 50cc 7-9 class and 3rd in the 50cc open class. I really like arenacross and look forward to racing it more in the future.
This year my main goal is to qualify for the Amateur Nationals at Loretta Lynn's. I have really been working hard and have even put in some training with 2 time world champ Trampas Parker.
I attend Weleetka Elementary School in Weleetka, Oklahoma and I'm in the second grade. I am a good student and I have all A's and B's. I am also a proud citizen of the Native American Creek Tribe.
Riding Goals
I mostly just want to become the best rider I can be and ultimately make it to Loretta's. Other than that I would like to improve my overall riding skills and possibly attend some hare scrambles or other off road events to broaden my abilities. And I would love to do freestyle but mom and dad aren't too crazy about that!
