Personal History
I began riding at age 4 on a Grand Prix mini-bike. At 5 I was on a Honda Trail 50, and by 8 was on a Suzuki 80. I've ridden pretty much my whole life, but, did not begin competing util last year. I was racing Downhill Mt. Bikes and broke 4 vertebrae in 2007. After some recovery time (lots of it) and after using my 1978 TT500 as phyical therapy, I decided to enter VMX. Iam married, and have 2 wonderful children ages 6 and 2 1/2. I enjoy anything outdoors, including; canoeing and kayaking, Mt. Biking, Hiking, Camping, and travelling in our 1955 Scenicruiser bus.
Riding Goals
I am fiercely competitive, so my biggest goal is to win!!! Seriously I am always looking to improve my skills, and go to Glen Helen, Anza, and Milestone as often as possible. I also spend time in Stoddard Valley, and Ocotillo Wells. I would like to get a top 3 finish in both the JT Racing series and the Marty Tripes revenge series.
Competitive Highlights
I guess my biggest highlight is being competitive in VMX while riding A 1978 Yamaha TT500. Its heavy, doesn't like to turn, doesn't like to jump, but still, we manage to compete with the Husqvarnas and Maicos. I'm almost finished building my '75 MX400 and '73 SC500, we'll see what happens then!
