Rider Updates

Nov 10 2016

First time back on the bike today! Obviously dealt with arm pump! I felt good overall. Still have a lot of work to do but I was surprised with how good I felt overall. I felt good getting in and through the ruts. I am looking forward to continuing to work hard and keep improving bit by bit!

Nov 8 2016

As of November 1st I have my back brace off! Now it's back to the grind. I have lost 20lbs that I didn't have to lose so I have my work cut out for me! I'm going to use it as a fresh start and build fresh and properly. I have lost most of my cardio and breathing due to restrictions of breathing in the brace. It's gonna be a long hard road for a while and it definitely sits me out for the 2017 Loretta's nationals. On a positive note that gives me more time to train and be faster than ever and ready for 2018. It's going to be hard training this year knowing my chances of Loretta's are slim to none because of an injury. I appreciate all the help from all of you guys and sticking by my side with this injury! I can't tell you enough how much it means to me having support pushing me along. I also have some sponsors outside of here that have stuck with me as well as two new ones that have picked me up as a rider for this coming year even with the injury. I hope all of you have a great winter and I'll update soon with how training and riding is going! First time back on the bike is planned for Thursday as long as the weather holds out!

Sunday the 28th of August, a friend and I went down to Echo Valley MX in Poole, KY. Please excuse my terrible grammar through this announcement. It was just another day at the track and had our normal routine going fine. Things took a dramatic turn on the second lap. I came into a corner lightly pushing. Apparently I misjudged the line I had chosen and pushed wider than I had planned on going. This resulted in my rear tire catching part of the wall. When the bike kicked back toward me i thought it was fine until the front tire caught and kicked mu clutch hand off the bars causing me to wad up pretty hard. I managed to walk off the track and out of potential dangers way. We called an ambulance due to the amount of pain i was feeling at the moment. After the rough ambulance ride and cat scans and all at the hospital we found out the bad news. I am very lucky in this bad news as well. I have broke my T5 and T7 vertebrate in my back. The good news is that there was no damage  done to the spinal cord or any other major organs. Just som e bruising and Obviously compression cracks. Please feel free to call/Text/ or email me anytime at 618 943 0233 or rnritchie@live.com.

I am still planning on returning to racing and riding again although given the timing of this I may be off most of the rest of the year. I will also post more updates as I find anything else out.

The races last weekend went well. I rode good overall with minor mistakes. I finished 1st in the +25 class and when to bad starts I ended up 3rd in the 250B. I had some really good battles and noticed a huge difference in my physical conditioning. Almost no arm pump over 4 motos! There are alot of things that I need to work on but I am seeing huge progress from the beginning of the year. I am buying a 450 very soon so I can have a better fight in the +25 class and move to 450B. I'm hoping that this will be a positive change for me. I am planning on training this weekend and hopefully racing next weekend for memorial day weekend most likely at Lincoln trail again. I will post more updates soon to let everyone know. Huge thanks to all of you guys willing to stick your neck out for me to help me on and off the track with this fantastic sport we all love! Sincerely, Robert (Buck) Ritchie

Things have been alot slower than I planned on this year so far with racing. However I am planning on racing at the Fly Racing series showdown this weekend at Lincoln Trail Motorsports. I just wanted to give you all a big shoutout for all the help and support this year. I am looking forward to keeping up training and getting ready for Loretta's next year! I went down to watch a day or two this year and it definitely has me pumped up and ready! I am helping get a friends track together not far from my house so riding will be easier and cheaper! I am planning on picking up a 450 soon! I plan on qualifying in the 450 B and +25 Junior classes next year! I have my work cut out for me for sure! Huge shoutout to RynoPowerGym! The workouts and dieting tips have turned my health and fitness around in a 180. I hope this year has been good for everyone and I'm excited to hopefully keep you all as my support for next year! I'll report back after the race this weekend to let you all know how it goes!

Qualifiers didn't go as planned! Figured out my weak points and things I need to focus on this year to get ready for Loretta's next year though! Had some crashes and battled ruts and arm pump! Huge thanks to all of you helping me out getting the bike ready as well as a few last minute sponsors pitching in to make everything look good! Huge thanks to Ryno Power for the help and the new program! a few weeks in now and there are huge changes already! I'm excited to get back on the track and put some good numbers up there and get ready for next year! New bars should be in today since I bent my old ones wrecking so much last weekend! I have some new pictures and more updates posted soon! Once again thanks to all for the help and support and making life easier for us riders at the track! I look forward to seeing everyone out there! Ride safe and have fun!

Getting ready for qualifiers! April 2nd and 3rd at Lincoln Trail Motorsports in Casey, IL. Unfortunately I won't have everything ordered by then as I have just started getting my checks with my new job! If you could all help me out and send me the stickers to run on the bike that would be great as most of you usually send with the first order. I will have everything done and ready on the bike shortly, I just have to get bills straight after a month with no pay! I'm excited and ready for some racing! It's been a long time but I'm back in the gym and feeling good with it all! Training has been going well and I'm feeling really good and confident on my corners getting better each time I go out! I hope to put all of this to the test and help all of you as well as myself look good at the qualifier!

Feb 27 2016

Big changes for the year are happening! I recently got a new job that will help with racing quite a bit financial wise. On the same financial note I recently found out my wife and I have a little racer on the way! With all of this being said, I greatly appreciate all of the help and support I have received from all of my sponsors! Thank you all! I also want to thank you all for the patience on getting my products ordered as with my job change comes a gap in my pay that puts my ordering back a couple weeks. I am ready to get the bike dressed up to, with any luck, put some good numbers on the board this year and represent each of my sponsors well! I plan on attending the Qualifier at Lincoln Trail Motorsports in Casey, IL on April 2nd and 3rd. With this I have a lot to order to get your parts on the bike and the stickers to represent you will be needed! Once again thanks for all the help and I hope we all have a great year of racing!

It's cold out! That puts a big damper on chances to ride! Ready to ride! Ready to try out my GoPro! Ready to start ordering my parts and get my bike on the track! I hope you all have had a good holiday season and that the start of this new year has been good. I hope to see you all soon out at the races!
