Personal History
I am a recent college graduate, earning a bachelors of Science in Manufacturing Design Engineering. I am a new Manufacturing Engineer in a local aerospace company. While going to school I worked full time, mostly sales in the powersports industry, went to school full time, and raising my now 3 year old son. In 2011 I left the Navy to spend more time with my family and begin a new career. I spent 6 years as a Navy hospital corpsman, serving with the United States Marine Corps Infantry and Infantry School Houses.
I have been riding and wrenching on motorcycles off and on for over 15 years. Tried several disciplines until I found my happy place in desert racing
I have a VERY supportive wife who has supported my riding and racing over the years, and a 3 year old son, the future MX super star. As a family they have been with me at almost every early morning drive to the races and cold over nighters in a tent in the desert. They are my training support, pit crew, and cheerleaders. We have meet many amazing new friends and families through this racing endeavor and have enjoyed it very much.
Riding Goals
My goals for the remainder of the 2016 season is to finish out at least 90% of the district 38 desert series. I am hoping to see improvement over the course of the year as far as placing.
During the the summer desert series break I will be practicing at local MX tracks and hopefully entering several local MX and GP races to cross train and stay in racing shape and in the mind set.
The 2017 season goals are to complete either the District 38 or 37 desert series and earn my amateur/intermediate skill bar.
The goal for the next 2-3 years is to form a 2 man team and to enter the Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno Desert Race and finish it. This is the dream, my hope to start racing bigger and longer endurance type of races.
Competitive Highlights
My current highlights are finishing several District 38 100+ miles races this year. I under estimated what it would take to stay competitive over 100 miles, but I am getting there.
