Personal History
I am a 42 year old married father of 3. I grew up on a farm in South Dakota with 2 brothers, we all road and built our own tracks. I started riding motocross when I was 12 and have not stopped since. I now have 2 boys that ride, ages 11 and 14. They both started riding at the age of 3 and racing at the age of 5. I also have an 8 year old daughter that wants to start riding and will do so as soon as I convince her mom. Both boys have raced flat track, hare scrambles, motocross and arena cross.
Riding Goals
To be healthy enough to ride in the Black Hills of South Dakota with my grandchildren.
To teach my son's to race competitively while staying safe, and to where the proper gear so that their bodies stay in tact over the years.
To be competitive myself in the Vet class at local races in South Dakota and Minnesota.
My 14 year old wants to run a full motocross series this year and work toward qualifying for Loretta's. He has quit baseball and track in order to focus on motocross this year.
Competitive Highlights
I raced Colorado AMA Amateur series from 2000 to 2003 and consistently placed in the top 5 in both 125 and 250 classes. I was part of the Yamaha Contingency program in both classes.
My 14 year old won series championships in flat track and is consistently placing in top 5 of the hare scramble series the past couple years.
My 11 year old placed 2nd in his last flat track series and has recently starting racing hare scrambles competitively.
