Personal History
My name is Robert Bickhardt and I currently reside in Milford, NJ. I am a self-employed builder, specializing in custom renovations. I graduated with honors from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance and a minor in Economics.
Riding Goals
Although getting a late start in racing, I believe I can be very competitive. I am going to focus on AMA’s District 34 Northeast Classic Series in both the +25 and +30 Novice classes. My goals are to finish in the top five in the +30 and a top 10 in the +25. In addition to District 34, I plan to race in both the Stimilon Motocross Challenge and Thunder in the Sand, as well as attempt to qualify in the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National . This sport deserves more recognition, I want to do my part and help promote those that help me and the products they sell.
Competitive Highlights
I began riding when I was 14 and until recently, most of my riding was done on the trails. Over the past 5 years, I shifted my focus to track riding and over the summer, I participated in my first race, the Stimilon Motocross Challenge at MX 338. Having never ridden that track before, I took a 5th overall in the +30 Novice class. After the success I had that weekend, I decided I was going to spend the rest of the year training and preparing for a complete race series in 2011. I started off 2011 at the Loretta Lynn's Area Qualifier at Englishtown, I placed 11th in +30 B/C.
