Personal History
Hi,
I'm my name is Rob Priddy (aka. Riptide) from Magnolia Texas where I leave with my two beautiful daughters and awesome wife. I have ridden motorcycles on and off all my life in the deserts of California, but when the price of fuel didn't allow my family to be able to afford riding we sold everything and took up less expensive sports which was in the late 80's. Now that I've grown and been able to afford to ride again the motocross bug got me good. I've been back on a bike for a couple years now but found at the age of 34 years old the body doesn’t bounce or react the way it did when I was young so I've had to condition myself and practice as must as the work schedule allows.
Myself and a couple buddies started racing last year at local tracks and man we had a blast, not only racing but hanging out, camping with the kids and enjoying the outdoors. Looking forward to the 2009 racing season here in Texas now that the weather allows us old guys to be able to survive a 20 min moto without heat stroke. Finished top five last year in the beginner class and chose the +30 /+25 class this year so wish me luck!!!
That’s a little about me and what draws me to this sport, thanks for looking and any help or kind words are always welcome... Be safe out there and Moto for life..... BRAAAAAAP
Riding Goals
My goals for this year are to finish in the top five again in the +30 class maybe even try for LL. =)
Competitive Highlights
Finished 5th overall last year in the Texas Holeshot series. Should have taken 1st but missed the last two races with 8 broke ribs and a very sore ego.
