Personal History
At the end of 2005 I had the pleasure of meeting Factory AM Pro Rider Jason Raines and a group of amateur mx guys he sponsored known as Team Raines. I started riding with them the at Jason's home track for the first couple of months during the 2006 season and then started going to practice days with the team. They asked me at this point to join the team which I gratefully accepted. While Jason was home waiting out an injury I got him and the team to do plenty of training days with me so I could hone my skills before I started racing in 2007. Winter of 2007 I bought a 2004 YZ 450F as my race bike for the year. This handled like a Porsche compared to the YZ 426 I was training on before. As 2007 season progressed I did very well for my first year winning 2 championships. I got a new 2007 YZ 450F for the 2008 that is a dream to handle with the new technology. Stepped up to the Junior class for 2008 and did very well in rather large classes. I've so far finished 3rd in 25+C and 4th in 30+C for the 2008 Pacific NW series and winning 30+C and 3rd 25+C for Washougal Hi point 10 race series. All my team members will be back for this season. We are a very close group with family and friends showing up for every race. For the 2009 season my goals are to win or finish at least in the top 3 for all classes entered. I am in the US Air Force and train hard at my job and harder on the track. I'm the only one on the team of 11 that started and finished 2 full series this year. So for the winter I'll be doing barn riding and hitting the woods while the tracks are closed. When it's raining in the city it's snowing in the mountains so I'll be hitting the slopes!
Thanks to all my 2007/2008 sponsors your support was greatly appreciated!!
