Personal History
Hi, I'm Richard Tunnell and I am 52 years old. I have been riding motorcycles with my family since I was 6. I started racing MX when I was in my 20's. Our family is still riding and racing. My mx racing has started to back off a little, but I am starting to focus mroe on some offroad racing, and now getting into some more adventuer riding!
When I'm not riding MX, or on the Trails, I'm out on my Mtn. Bike, or snowboard!
Riding Goals
At my age, the goals are fun and survival. Any race day I complete in tact and with a good ride is a great day! I know many of the people at the track and we spend almost as much time bench racing as we do riding! Always a good time when I'm on 2 wheels! Some friends have also picked up adventure and dual sport bikes, so we should get out on some adventures this next year.
Competitive Highlights
Now riding the 50+ class at mx and offroad races. Also really trying to get out on more adventures rides! I have added a 2024 Yamaha Tenere 700 to the fleet this past year to get even more adventure riding in. I also upgraded the MX bike to a 2024 KX450 this past year. Coming up in 2025, the plan is to add some more adventure rides and keep doing the MX and offroad events.
