Personal History

Hello! My name is Richard Lovely. I live in Denver Colorado and race for CORCS Hare Scrambles. I am currently in school for Mechanical Engineering at Metro Sate University. I rode motorcycles in my childhood but never raced. In high school I started racing downhill mountain bikes. My father was a competitive A250 rider racing Endures and Hare scrambles in Florida. He has just recently started racing Flat Track in Colorado where I got the itch to ride again. After 2 months with a new bike to me, I was lining up  for my first Hardscrabble race.

Riding Goals

My Ridding goals for 2018 are finishing top 5 at every race and being in the running to take the C250 CORCS title.  I have been spending a lot of time in the gym and coming into the season a lot more prepared fitness wise then in 2017. After I win the CORCS C250 champion ship I will move up to the B250 class where I plan on finishing top 10 every race getting familiar with the two hour format, and taking the B250 title in 2019.
I plan on developing a flat track program and bike to compete in the latter part of the Colorado Flat Track circuit in 2018. After I get experience in the 250 class I plan on taking the 250 Colorado Flat track title in 2019.

Competitive Highlights

Lining up for my first race was extremely rewarding. As you can imagine racing in March in Colorado can be cold. Once the race was started it started snowing and the wind was terrible. Ridding up hill with a 40 mile and hour wind in your face is quite tiering especially when you are under prepared. My second Highlight would be the last race of the 2017 season with CORCS. Knowing where I started the season and ending feeling extremely strong and knowing what I need to do to get to the next level has driven me to be as prepared as I can be going into the 2018 season.
