Personal History

Hi! I’m Riana, and this whole racing thing is super new to me. I started riding in the summer of 2019 and it’s been history ever since! I live in Colorado Springs with my husband Evan. We have been married for 4 years and together 10. We have really become outdoorsy people over the last few years and really enjoy things that five us a rush or an escape. I moved to Colorado in 2006 from my hometown or Rolla, MO. I love hiking, camping, and of course dirt bike riding. But as a profession I am a licensed Esthetician and own my own company called Figs and Twigs Skin CO. And currently manage a dental office in Monument, CO. With my super hectic schedule I love to keep active outside of work and find things that really bring me happiness!

Riding Goals

Riding goals is one of those things that I think about every single time that I ride. My husband Evan and I started riding in the summer of 2019 and neither of us had ever been on a bike before before. Scary, I know! Neither of us thought that we would ever end up riding not racing! It’s been amazing ride so far. I started riding on trails only, such as 717 and areas like that and really fell in love with the way the bike makes me feel and how nothing else in the world matters but riding. Every single time I get on my bike I try and improve on one aspect of my skill, such as turns or jumps, etc. That has really helped motivate me to focus on one thing until I’m where I want to be with that specific skill. I feel like taking baby steps have progressed my riding in ways that I never thought would happen! Riding has become my stress reliever and has helped me a lot with my anxiety. I hope that next year I can really progress to a point where I feel confident in entering more races! I hope that in a year I come back and read this and I’ve surpassed very single goal I’ve set myself!

Competitive Highlights

I am very new to the competitive side of the dirt bike world, but am really enjoying taking my skills to the next level. I have currently one race under my belt and placed 14th out of 25 riders at the Fountain Creek Hare Scramble through CORCS. I also placed 11th Penrose Hare Scramble through CORCS, which was a blast. That’s what it’s all about right?
