Personal History
My name is Reed Patton Gottschalk. You read that correctly, I have 3 Last names. I was named after Chad Reed (Winner) ,GEN. George S. Patton (Winner), My Dad(Afghanistan Vet) his Dad(Vietnam Vet) his Dad(Korea Vet) and so on, Winning is in my name & in my Blood. I got a jump start on the sport thanks to my Father. Being a Disabled Vet/ Stay at home dad, I have plenty of time to practice. I began riding a bicycle WITHOUT training wheels at the age of 2 1/2 (31 months). It was game on from there. I got my First Quad for my 3rd birthday (Sept 2013) and got a dirtbike for Christmas. I Love to ride the Trails at the edge of town for Hours, and my dad takes me there 4-6 days a week (slightly less during the sub-balmy Iowa Winters).
Remember.... WINNING ISN'T EVERYTHING, IT'S THE ONLY THING!
Riding Goals
My short term goal is to Practice on my bikes and ATV as much as my father allows. I plan to attend as many races as his wallet allows. Most importantly my goal is to continue improving faster than people think I should.
My Long term goal is to win more AMA titles than anyone in history. But if I only get 1, than I'm still better off than holding 50 S.A.G. awards!
Competitive Highlights
I ended my rookie year Never finishing off the podium. Finished 4th overall in AMA District 22 50cc quad class while only attending 1/3 of the races and not turning 4 y/o until a couple weeks before the final race of the season.
Looking forward to racing some of the upcoming Arenacross series, until spring opens up to another summer of bringing home Trophies taller than me :-)
